Maharashtra Assembly elections are going to be announced today. The Election Commission will hold a press conference and give information about the complete schedule and the day of election results. Whereas big political parties like BJP have already intensified the preparations. Party sources say that BJP will contest on about 150 seats. A round of brainstorming has also taken place on the names of candidates for these seats. There was also a meeting of BJP leaders in this regard in Delhi on Monday. Along with central leaders, leaders like Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Ashish Shelar and Pankaja Munde were also present in this meeting. State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and other leaders were also present in the meeting.
In this meeting, first of all there was discussion on those 100 seats where currently only BJP has MLAs. This meeting took place in the presence of BJP President JP Nadda and Amit Shah. According to the information received so far, BJP has decided to contest mainly on the seats of Konkan region, Vidarbha and North Maharashtra. Whereas in some other areas including Marathwada, seats will be given to Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP. There are a total of 288 seats in the state and as per the agreement reached so far, around 80 seats will go to the Eknath Shinde faction. Apart from this, the remaining 50 seats can be given to Ajit Pawar faction.
BJP will have claim on most of the seats in Mumbai. Apart from this, it has been agreed to give seats in Thane area to Shinde group. BJP leaders say that agreement has been reached on about 90 percent of the 288 seats. In the meeting held on Monday, there was also discussion about those areas where the party lost despite good chances. These seats include seats like Beed, Mumbai North Central. Pankaja Munde from Beed and renowned lawyer Ujjwal Nikam from Mumbai North Central had to face defeat.

BJP leaders say that we lost about 8 to 9 Lok Sabha seats because the polarization of Muslims was one-sided. He sided with parties that were in direct competition with the BJP. At the same time, BJP supporting voters did not come out. This changed the result. Now BJP is making such a strategy in the assembly elections so that this problem can be solved.
