After the campaign for Haryana Assembly elections is over, all eyes are on the independent candidates. At some places they are seen in a one-on-one contest, while at other places they are seen in a triangular contest. Independents are contesting from six assembly constituencies of Faridabad division.

After the campaign for Haryana Assembly elections is over, all eyes are on the independent candidates. At some places they are seen in a one-on-one contest, while at other places they are seen in a triangular contest. In six assembly constituencies of Faridabad division, independent candidates are seen competing with the candidates of national parties. There is also an eye on two independents in Prithla assembly constituency. Outgoing MLA Nayanpal Rawat is again contesting as an independent candidate from here.
Deepak Dagar, who rebelled after not getting BJP ticket, is contesting the elections as an independent candidate. After JJP-Azad Samaj Party candidate supported Congress, JJP-Azad Samaj Party has supported Deepak Dagar. Due to this, the contest in Prithla assembly constituency remains interesting. In Tigaon assembly constituency too, angry over the ticket being canceled by the Congress party, former MLA Lalit Nagar has presented a tough challenge to BJP candidate Rajesh Nagar and Congress candidate Rohit Nagar as an independent candidate. On the other hand, in Ballabhgarh, Congress party gave ticket to Parag Sharma in place of Sharda Rathore on Ballabhgarh seat.
After the ticket was cut, she jumped into the election field as an independent candidate. Now she is contesting against BJP candidate Moolchand Sharma from here. On the other hand, independent candidate and former MLA Rahish Khan has presented a tough challenge to Congress Party candidate Mohammad Ilyas on Punhana Assembly seat. Former MLA Kehar Singh Rawat is contesting as an independent candidate from Hathin assembly seat after not getting a ticket from BJP. On the other hand, independent candidate Naveen Rohilla is also fighting the election with full strength on Hodal seat.
Former minister Ram Vilas Sharma was defeated by an independent candidate.
In the year 2000, former MLA Rajendra Singh Bisla defeated former minister Ram Vilas Sharma on Ballabhgarh seat. Current State Congress President Udaybhan had won the Hodal seat as an independent candidate. In the year 2005, Harsh Kumar had won from Hathin seat. In the year 2009, independent candidate Shivcharan Lal Sharma became MLA from NIT assembly constituency.
