I am neither tired nor retired; Bhupinder Hooda camped in Delhi even before the results, claiming the post of CM

Bhupinder Singh Hooda has reached Delhi before the results of Haryana Assembly elections are announced. He is going to meet party leader Rahul Gandhi here. Earlier, Hooda also spoke to the media in Delhi and said that I am neither tired nor retired. With this, Hooda indicated that he is in the race for CM. He openly said that the high command and the MLAs will decide who will become the CM, but by calling himself beyond tired and retired, senior Hooda has expressed his claim.

Former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda reached the Congress headquarters just a day before the results. His coming to Delhi in this manner has increased the stir in Haryana Congress. During this, Haryana in-charge Deepak Bawariya met with Bhupendra Singh Hooda. It is believed that Hooda can also hold a meeting with Rahul Gandhi this evening. Hooda will stay at his Delhi residence for the night. Bhupendra Hooda is considered a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister, but Congress’s Kumari Selja and MP Randeep Singh Surjewala have also staked their claim for the post of Chief Minister. According to exit polls, Congress is winning with majority in Haryana.

Hooda, Kumari Selja and Surjewala in race for CM post

There has been a tussle between Bhupendra Hooda, Kumari Selja and Randeep Surjewala for the post of Chief Minister for the last several months. Even before the election results, Hooda has started talking to his supporting candidates. Whereas Selja and Surjewala still have hope from the high command. All three leaders are calling themselves involved in the race for Chief Minister. On the question of Selja and Randeep Singh Surjewala being contenders for the post of Chief Minister, Hooda had said that anyone can have aspirations in politics. There is a fixed procedure for the post of Chief Minister. The party high command will decide and everything will be accepted only there.

Selja had met Sonia Gandhi before voting.

The Congress high command has not declared the chief ministerial face in Haryana. As per the strategy, elections were fought without a face. However, former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda has been CM twice before and is a strong contender for the third time also. Kumari Selja has already met Sonia Gandhi before voting. Two days before voting, Congress MP Kumari Selja reached 10 Janpath to meet Sonia Gandhi. There was a conversation between the two for about half an hour.

Kumari Selja has also held a meeting with Sonia Gandhi

After confronting Sonia Gandhi, Kumari Selja did not talk to anyone. She left from there in the car without talking to the media. The meeting of the two leaders had created a stir in Haryana politics. Now Surjewala may also reach the court of the high command soon. Till now, Hooda has been given a free hand from the high command. First, Hooda was successful in making his supporter Chaudhary Udaybhan the state president. Even in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, most of his supporters got tickets.
