The political turmoil regarding the assembly elections to be held in Haryana has been going on for a long time. Besides, there are also discussions going on that senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Kumari Selja is going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Now all these speculations have been rejected by Kumari Shailja a day before voting. She has said that she is not going anywhere after leaving Congress. Apart from this, he also described himself as an important contender for the post of Chief Minister.
While talking to news agency ANI, Kumari Shailja completely rejected the speculations of joining BJP. During the election campaign, there were strong discussions due to the statements of some BJP leaders that Kumari Shailaja may leave Congress and join BJP. Responding to this, Shailja said, “Shailja is not going anywhere, why would Shailja go? Rumors keep going on in Delhi but the people of my area know me very well.”
Expressing confidence in the position of the Congress, Shailaja said, “The position of the Congress is very strong at the moment. We have done good work. Rahul Gandhi has also worked hard and the Congress President has also visited Haryana. Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra It has made a lot of difference.”
Shailaja gave another big statement to ANI calling herself a major contender in the race for Chief Minister. Shailaja clarified that if Congress comes to power in Haryana, the decision on the post of Chief Minister will be taken by the party high command but they cannot be ignored.
During the conversation, Kumari Shailja said, “The decision on the post of Chief Minister will be taken by the high command. But some people will be in the zone under consideration and I think Shailja will also be included in it. The matters of seniority, work, and politics will be looked into and decided by the high command. In such a situation, the high command cannot ignore Shailja.”
It is noteworthy that voting for assembly elections will be held on 90 seats in Haryana tomorrow i.e. on October 5. Counting of votes will take place on October 8. BJP had emerged as the largest party in the 2019 assembly elections, in which it had won 40 seats while Congress had won 30 seats.
