Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar said on Thursday that the three allies of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) have agreed on most of the seats for the assembly elections to be held in Maharashtra next month. Sharad Pawar has told that the decision has been taken on 200 seats out of total 288. It is noteworthy that the MVA, which is currently playing the role of opposition in Maharashtra, includes NCP (SP), Congress and Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena. Speaking to the media in Karad in Satara district of Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar also said that the results of Haryana elections will not have any impact on the elections in Maharashtra.
In response to a question on Thursday, Sharad Pawar said, “I am not directly involved in the seat-sharing discussion. NCP state unit chief Jayant Patil is representing our party in the talks. According to information received from him. “Out of the total 288 seats, around 200 have been agreed upon.” When asked which seats his party will demand in Satara district, he said that only Jayant Patil will take the decision regarding seat distribution. Voting for all 288 seats in Maharashtra assembly elections will be held on November 20 while the counting of votes will take place on November 23. .
Responding to a question about the strategy of the India Alliance after the defeat of the Congress in the Haryana Assembly elections, Sharad Pawar said that he is reviewing the results. He said, “We are studying Haryana. We will also have to look at the results of Jammu and Kashmir. But I don’t think it will have any impact on the Maharashtra elections.”
