Even before the release of the first list of MVA i.e. Mahavikas Aghadi, Uddhav Sena has suffered a major setback. Mahant Sunil Maharaj, considered a big leader of the Banjara community, has said goodbye to Shiv Sena (UBT). While leaving the party, he has accused Uddhav Thackeray of not giving him time. There are possibilities that the first list of MVA candidates may be revealed on Wednesday.
Mahant Sunil Maharaj of Poharadevi temple has left Shiv Sena (UBT). He says that in the last 10 months, Uddhav has not given even 10 minutes time to meet him. Uddhav leaving the party a few weeks before the elections could prove to be a big blow to the Sena, as the Banjara community has a strong hold in Yavatmal Washim districts. At the same time, the community also has a presence in many other parts of the state.
On 30 September 2022, Maharaj reached Matoshree and joined the Uddhav army. After this, Ravikant Rathore, considered a big leader of Banjara community from Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, also joined Shiv Sena (UBT).
