Congress has released its detailed manifesto in Haryana. Congress has promised to give 100-100 yard plots to the poor and Rs 2,000 every month to women.
Congress released a 53-page detailed manifesto for Haryana Assembly elections in Chandigarh today. Issued by former CM Bhupendra Hooda, Observer former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and state president Uday Bhan. Many promises have been made in the manifesto including old pension scheme for government employees and giving two thousand rupees every month to women. A legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) and immediate compensation for crop failure has been promised to the farmers. However, there is no mention about Agniveer in the Congress manifesto.
Congress has been protesting against not giving martyr status to Agniveer in the elections and snatching his pension. 7 days ago, Congress in Delhi had given 7 guarantees for the people of the state. It was released in the name of 7 promises and firm intentions under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. During this, Sirsa MP Kumari Selja and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala remained absent.
Congress announcements in manifesto
* Promise to implement Old Pension Scheme in Haryana.
* Has promised to resolve the SYL canal dispute. Promise of giving a government job to a family of more than 700 martyred farmers killed in the farmers’ movement. Every crop of farmers will be sold at MSP.
* Women aged between 8 to 60 years will get Rs 2,000 in their accounts every month. People will get free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh. Will give 33 percent reservation to women in government jobs.
* Contract recruitment in government jobs and government departments will be stopped. Haryana Skill Employment Corporation will be closed. Will close portals related to farmers. Will review the Parivar Pehchan Patra portal. Sports quota will be restored in government jobs.
* Will fill the vacant posts of teachers. State Teacher Selection Commission will be formed. Universities will be built in the name of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Sant Ravidas Ji. Will build a university in Mewat. A women’s college will be built in every assembly and a women’s ITI will be built in every block. There will be an extension of 2 years in the service of teachers awarded with State Teacher Award.
* Super specialty hospitals, government nursing colleges, para medical, medical technician institutes will be opened in every district. Like the Rajasthan Congress government, it will implement a cash-backed insurance scheme for free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh on the lines of Chiranjeevi scheme. Medical education fees will be reduced, a committee will be formed to reconsider the bond policy.
* Monthly pension of Rs 6000 will be given to elderly and widowed women. Will give gas cylinder for Rs 500. Under Indira Ladli Behan Samman Yojana, all women between 18 to 60 years of age will be given Rs 2000 per month.
* Free pink mini bus and pink e-rickshaw will be started for girl students going to school and college. 50 percent house tax exemption will be given on property owned by women. Interest free loan up to Rs 20 lakh will be given for self-employment.
* Every poor family will be given a free plot of 100-100 yards and Rs 3.5 lakh to build a two-room house. The income limit for the benefit of various schemes for the SC category will be increased to Rs 1.80 lakh. In Other Backward Classes, the limit of creamy layer will be increased from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Will conduct caste survey.
* All financial and administrative powers will be given to District Councils, Block Committees and Gram Panchayats. 300 units of free electricity will be provided in rural areas.
* Will provide 24 hours electricity, 300 units of free electricity. Will make a transparent policy to legalize illegal colonies.
* Strict laws will be made for crimes like mob lynching-honor killing.
* Will give Rs 2 crore to the family of the martyred soldier. Will provide hi-tech weapons to Haryana Police personnel.
* Will implement the bring medal, get post policy. The villages of medal winners in Paris Olympics will be made model villages.
* Will restart sports quota in government jobs.
*Will constitute Haryana Brahmin Welfare Board. Haryana State will create Punjabi Community Welfare Board for the Punjabi community.
Ashok Gehlot has said that the guarantees given by Congress will not have any bad impact on the economy of the state. He also clarified that these promises have been made after taking advice from finance experts and they have been made very thoughtfully. He believes that when these guarantees are implemented, Haryana will emerge as a model state.
