The results of Haryana Assembly elections are shocking not only the Congress but even the election pundits. Out of 90 assembly seats in the state, BJP is leading in 49 and Congress is stuck on 36. It is surprising for BJP to get such a majority even after 10 years of power. This is a huge blow for the Congress, which wanted to move towards Vijayashree by giving the slogan of farmer, soldier and wrestler. Now political analysts are finding more reasons for this defeat. One reason for this defeat of Congress is giving command to Bhupinder Singh Hooda group alone and then giving importance to Jats in ticket distribution.
These results are such a big shock for Congress that Jairam Ramesh said that we cannot accept such results. A complaint will be made about this. At the same time, political experts believe that overconfidence, dependence on a single leader and giving more importance to the Jat community is also the reason for this result. Actually, Congress had given a total of 89 tickets, out of which 28 were given to people of Jat community. Whereas BJP fielded only 16 Jat candidates. BJP gave him priority in Jat dominated seats, but where votes of other OBC castes like Gurjar, Saini, Kashyap, Yadav were in good numbers. Only he got importance there.
Hooda dominated in ticket distribution, things got worse due to more attention given to Jats.
Apart from this, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who comes from the Jat community, got the command of the campaign. He was also seen dominating in ticket distribution and it is said that 72 candidates in the state were decided on his choice. On the other hand, BJP promoted Naib Singh Saini, who himself belongs to the Saini community. Apart from this, Mohan Lal Barauli, who is a Brahmin, was made the state president. If we look at caste wise, then after Jats, there is a good population of Brahmins in Haryana. That’s why Saini became a Brahmin. At the same time, all other leaders including Krishnapal Gurjar, Subhash Barala, Omprakash Dhankhar, Captain Abhimanyu were also given prominence.
Kept Saini ahead and kept some distance from Khattar, intention fulfilled
Due to this, BJP did not allow excessive polarization of Jats on one side and kept other castes simple. The important thing was that Naib Singh Saini was kept at the forefront throughout the campaign and he continued working without getting involved in any controversy. This also went in his favor, whereas there was talk of displeasure with Jin Khattar. BJP kept him away from the campaign. In this way, while anti-incumbency was cut, full attention was also paid to social mobilization. Apart from this, the support received by BJP in Ahirwal belt also completed the task.
