Aam Aadmi Party has released the first list of 20 candidates for Haryana assembly elections. In this way, the speculation of alliance between Congress and AAP in the state has come to an end. AAP Haryana chief Sushil Gupta made a big statement about the candidates declared by the party. He said, ‘AAP is contesting the elections with full vigor. AAP has released its first list of 20 candidates. The second list will be out by evening. Only 3 days are left for nomination. All the candidates have to be lined up within 3 days. We have many candidates on each seat.’ He said that Aam Aadmi Party is a good and strong option in Haryana. I do not want to get into the politics of allegations and counter-allegations.
On the question of AAP-Congress alliance in Haryana, Sushil Gupta said, ‘Aam Aadmi Party is fighting a political battle for system change. Aam Aadmi Party workers are standing in the field with full patience. We first showed our patience and only after that the list of candidates was released. I think the results will be positive for Haryana and BJP will be removed from Haryana.’ It is known that the last date for filing nominations for the 90-member Haryana Assembly is September 12. Voting in the state will be held on October 5. Counting of votes will be held on October 8.
Why did the alliance not happen between AAP and Congress
Let us tell you that AAP has fielded Haryana unit vice-president Anurag Dhanda from Kalayat and Indu Sharma from Bhiwani. Vikas Nehra has been given ticket from Meham and Bijender Hooda from Rohtak. Aam Aadmi Party was in talks with Congress for a possible alliance in the state. However, talks have been stuck over how many seats AAP will contest. According to sources, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party is demanding 10 seats, while Congress is offering 5 seats. Earlier, AAP’s Haryana unit chief Sushil Gupta had said that if an agreement is not reached by evening, his party will release the names of candidates for all 90 seats.
