There is a dispute in Congress over friendship with AAP, Bhupendra Hooda even left the meeting and went out

The desire to contest elections with Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana is becoming the reason for discontent among many Congress leaders. It is reported that there is a lot of opposition to this, especially in the camp of former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda. It is being said that many senior leaders of Haryana Congress are also not happy with the alliance with AAP. Apart from this, the speculation of ticket cancellation of many MLAs has also upset the leaders of the Hooda faction.

Congress has not even released the first list of candidates yet. Currently, Congress has 28 MLAs in the 90-member Haryana Assembly.

According to the Indian Express report, sources say that there is disagreement within the Congress on the issue of seat sharing with AAP. The situation has reached such a point that Haryana Congress Legislative Party leader Hooda even left a party meeting midway. The report has quoted Congress sources as saying that the party leadership may cut the tickets of some current MLAs, due to which there is discontent in the Hooda camp.

Congress has also formed a sub-committee to discuss seat sharing with AAP. Apart from this, the panel will also decide on candidates for about 2 dozen seats where internal consensus is not being reached. It is reported that this committee has met senior MPs of the party. The newspaper quoted sources as saying that not only Hooda, but many senior leaders are also not in favor of alliance with AAP.

According to the report, CLP leader Hooda seems particularly unhappy because his leaders are present in the seats where AAP wants to field candidates. These seats include Pehowa, Kalayat and Jind. The newspaper quoted sources as saying that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi wants seat sharing between Congress and AAP, which would give a message of unity of the INDIA group, but many party leaders are opposing it.

According to the report, sources have said that when the seat sharing proposal with AAP was put forward on Wednesday, Hooda and state Congress president Uday Bhan walked out of the party meeting. It is reported that Haryana in-charge Deepak Babaria tried to settle the matter, but both the leaders did not agree. Sources said that the Congress leadership is also insisting on sharing one or two seats with the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party. The newspaper quoted sources as saying that Hooda and Bhan have objected to the high command’s proposal with AAP and SP.

MLAs’ tickets may be cut

Earlier it was being said that the Congress Central Election Committee headed by National President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the tickets of many sitting MLAs in Haryana, but Indian Express quoted sources as saying that now some names have been put on hold. Sources said that the names of these MLAs who have been put on hold for now include Dharam Singh Chhokar, Surendra Panwar, Rao Dan Singh. The special thing is that all these leaders are considered close to Hooda.
