Haryana Election Voting: Voting will be held for all 90 assembly seats of Haryana from 7 am to 6 pm on Saturday. The fate of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat and JJP’s Dushyant Chautala and 1027 other candidates will be decided. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to regain power in the state for the third consecutive time, while the Congress is hoping to return to government after a decade. Apart from BJP and Congress, voters will also keep their eyes on parties like JJP, Aam Aadmi Party. Counting of votes will take place on October 8.
20,632 polling booths have been made in the state. By Friday evening, polling teams had reached all the polling stations with EVMs and VPAT machines. Photographing and video recording will be prohibited during voting. Voters will not be able to take mobile phones with them to the polling booth during voting. In view of voting, Haryana Police has made strict security arrangements in the state. To conduct the assembly elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner, 29 thousand 462 policemen, 21 thousand 196 home guard personnel and 10 thousand 403 SPOs have been deployed.
During the voting process, police will keep a close watch on every nook and corner of the state so that people can exercise their franchise without any fear. Haryana DGP Shatrujit Kapoor said that maintaining law and order during elections is our top priority so that people can vote in a fair manner without any fear. He said that officers and policemen at every level have been clearly instructed as to how they have to act during possible situations. During this period, strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission will be ensured.
29 thousand 462 policemen of Haryana Police, 225 companies of Paramilitary Force, more than 21 thousand Home Guard personnel and more than 10 thousand SPOs will be deployed for the assembly elections. During this period, 191 inter-state and 201 intra-state checkpoints have been set up to maintain law and order. Movement of liquor, weapons, cash and other materials that can influence voting is prohibited in the state. Apart from this, the movement of history-sheeters, mischievous elements and anti-social elements creating nuisance is being monitored. Along with this, a strict vigil is also being kept on those luring voters and liquor sellers through liquor or cash etc. Instructions have been given to take immediate action on the complaints received in this regard. Police force teams are patrolling day and night in the state.
Additional police forces will be deployed at 3616 sensitive polling stations
A total of 20 thousand 629 polling stations have been established at 10 thousand 495 places in the state for voting. Apart from this, 3616 polling stations have been considered critical and 145 polling stations have been considered vulnerable. Additional police force will be deployed at these polling stations. Along with this, 516 flying squad teams, 469 static surveillance teams and 32 quick response teams have been formed in the state. To ensure law and order in the state and adherence to the model code of conduct, 1156 patrolling parties have also been formed which are patrolling day and night. To keep an eye on such activities on social media, Haryana Police teams will work actively by monitoring at different levels and strict action will be taken against those posting fake videos.

2,03,54,350 voters of the state will exercise their franchise in the general elections of Haryana Assembly. A total of 1031 candidates are contesting elections in all 90 assembly constituencies of the state. Of these, 930 male and 101 female candidates are contesting the elections. Apart from this, there are 464 independent candidates. Of the total 2,03,54,350 voters, there are 1,07,75,957 men, 95,77,926 women and 467 third gender voters. There are 5,24,514 youth voters in the age group of 18 to 19 years. There are 1,49,142 disabled voters. Out of which 93,545 are male, 55,591 are female and 6 are third gender voters. Election Commission officials said that there are 2,31,093 voters above 85 years of age. Of these, 89,940 are male and 1,41,153 are female voters. Additionally, the number of voters above 100 years of age is 8,821. Of these, 3,283 are male and 5,538 are female voters. Additionally, there are 1,09,217 service voters. Out of these, 1,04,426 are male and 4791 are female voters.
