Senior Haryana BJP leader Anil Vij, who has been elected MLA from Ambala Cantt seat for the 7th consecutive time, has met JP Nadda. He reached Delhi on Sunday to meet the party chief. There is also discussion in Haryana about the meeting of senior minister Anil Vij with JP Nadda. At present there are speculations as to which ministry he may get in the new government. He was the Home Minister in the government of Manohar Lal Khattar, but he did not take oath after Naib Singh Saini got the command. He was working only as an MLA. This time again he has won from Ambala. After this victory, there are talks of his joining the cabinet again.
Naib Singh Saini will be sworn in along with some ministers on October 17. Now there is discussion whether Anil Vij will take oath with him on October 17 or not. Actually, Anil Vij had claimed the post of CM before the results of Haryana elections. He said that he is a senior leader and is suitable for the post of CM. In such a situation, will he take oath as a minister in Naib Saini’s government or not? Internal discussions are intense in BJP regarding this. However, after making the claim, Anil Vij also said that this is not my opinion but the opinion of his supporters.
Giving clarification, he had said that when Naib Singh Saini was made the CM in place of Manohar Lal Khattar, my supporters were of the opinion that I was also the right choice for it. Then when I did not say anything, people started saying that Anil Vij himself does not want to become CM. That’s why while talking about this issue I said that I can also become the Chief Minister. I said this so that I could remove confusion among my supporters.
Let us tell you that Anil Vij is counted among the fire brand leaders of Haryana BJP. He has been a BJP MLA since the time the party was weak in the state and used to be the third or fourth number party. BJP has got 48 seats in this election and has returned to power in the state for the third consecutive time.
