As the assembly elections in Maharashtra are approaching, turmoil is beginning to be seen in politics. After the crushing defeat of Congress in Haryana, now Mahayuti’s morale is high for Maharashtra elections. On Thursday, CM Eknath Shinde had called a cabinet meeting regarding the elections. However, as soon as the meeting started, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar walked out. He did not sit in the meeting even for 10 minutes. Speculations started being made regarding this that maybe everything is not going well in Mahayuti.
Now Ajit Pawar gave approval and said that everything is going well in the Mahayuti alliance. Addressing a press conference, Pawar said, I had to leave early for the already scheduled program in Ahmedpur. He said that whatever decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting in his absence, he also accepted them. Questions were raised due to his early departure because many decisions related to financial matters were to be taken in this meeting. He is also the Finance Minister of the state. Many decisions were taken in his absence.
Pawar said that the state cabinet is above the objections of the departments. This also includes the finance department. Before the elections, the Mahayuti government has started many schemes. At the same time, the Finance Department has also raised the issue of budget shortage. Pawar said that talks are also going on regarding seat sharing between the alliance. The final decision will be announced when the right time comes, he said.
He did not give any clear answer to the question of contesting elections from Baramati. He said, the final decision on seat sharing is still pending. Let us see who gets the Baramati seat. Let us tell you that in the Lok Sabha elections, Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar had to face defeat from her cousin Supriya Sule from Baramati. Pawar announced that Sayaji Shinde will be the star campaigner of NCP.
