Haryana Election Results 2024: According to the trend of counting of votes released on Tuesday for the assembly elections in Haryana, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is once again seen forming the government. In the trends, BJP is ahead on 49 seats while Congress is ahead on 35 seats. This information has been obtained from the latest data available on the website of the Election Commission. Meanwhile, the trends of Ahirwal region, which has special importance in the politics of Haryana, have also come to the fore. The Congress party seems to be getting a big blow from here.
In the counting of votes so far in the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024, BJP’s performance on 10 seats of Ahirwal region has been significant. These seats include Rewari, Bawal, Kosli, Badshahpur, Pataudi, Ateli, Gurugram, Nangal Chaudhary, Narnaul and Mahendragarh. BJP is strongly ahead in all these seats, except Ateli, where the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate is leading. At the same time, in Rewari, former cabinet minister Captain Ajay Yadav’s son and current MLA Chiranjeev Rao is trailing.

Let us tell you that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had held many public meetings and rallies in Ahirwal area, the effect of which can be seen in the election results here. BJP’s rallies and the strategy made keeping in mind the Yadav community have made a lot of impact in this area. Political analysts believe that the main reason for BJP’s better performance on these seats could be the activism of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Gurugram MP Rao Inderjit Singh.
Well, the good performance of BJP in Ahirwal belt of Haryana is not surprising. In the Lok Sabha elections held this year, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had taken lead in 10 out of 11 assembly constituencies of Ahirwal belt. This belt is spread across three Lok Sabha seats – Gurgaon, Rohtak and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh. Ahirwal belt i.e. Yadav dominated area includes about 10-11 assembly seats. These include Gurgaon, Badshahpur, Sohna, Bawal, Rewari, Pataudi (under Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency), Narnaul, Nangal Chaudhary, Mahendragarh and Ateli (under Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency) and Kosli (under Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency).
Barring Kosli assembly constituency, BJP candidates had led in 10 Ahir-dominated constituencies falling under Gurgaon and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituencies. Six Ahir-dominated assembly constituencies – Gurgaon, Badshahpur, Sohna, Bawal, Rewari and Pataudi – acted as troublemakers for veteran Ahir leader Rao Inderjit Singh, who defeated Congress’ Raj Babbar by 75,079 votes. Even though Rao Inderjit was trailing by 2.58 lakh votes from minority-dominated assembly constituencies Nuh, Punhana and Firozpur Jhirka, a strong performance from six Ahir-dominated constituencies gave him victory. With this victory, Rao Inderjit Singh won his sixth Lok Sabha election and fourth from Gurgaon seat.
