Born in farmer family
NT Rama Rao was born on 28 May 1923 in Nimakuru, Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. Rao’s father had an ordinary farmer. Rao completed his schooling and started trying to eradicate the poverty of his family. Rama Rao started selling milk and helped the family financially as soon as he was a teenager. After this, Rama Rao decided to earn a name in the acting world. Rama Rao got a chance to work in the 1949 film ‘Mana Desam’. After this film, this journey of cinema started continuously. Rama Rao, as a hero, worked in his first film Palleturi Puppy (1950). Rama Rao, who was a hit from the first film, earned his name in brilliant films like Shokar (1950), Patta Bhairavi (1951), Malliswari (1951) and Chandraharam (1953).
The character of Krishna played for the first time on screen
Rama Rao earned a lot of name with his strong acting in the Telugu film world. Rama Rao played a mythical role as Lord Krishna for the first time in Mayabazar (1957) and put most of the characters on screen for the first time in ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharatam’. Actor Rama Rao, who worked in more than 254 films in his career, became a superstar of South Cinema in the 80s. In the late 1970s, the crown was crown by giving a bang hit like Adavi Ramudu (1977), Yamagola (1977), Vetagadu (1979).
Chief Minister remains not one or three times
Let me tell you that Rama Rao is one of the few artists who ruled the films first and then showed a lot of amazing in politics as well. Rama Rao founded the Telugu Desam Party in 1982 and became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh within a year. He married Lakshmi Parvati in 1993. In 1994, he was re -elected by heavy votes, but was ousted from power due to the internal coup of the party. After which in 1995 his son -in -law Chandrababu Naidu took power. He died of a heart attack in 1996. Now his political and film heritage still makes him feel his presence.
