The controversy surrounding Junaid Khan’s debut film ‘Maharaj’ has finally come to an end. The Gujarat High Court has given its verdict, after which a new update has come out regarding the release of the film. The Gujarat High Court has lifted the ban on the release of Junaid Khan’s film, which is making his debut with ‘Maharaj’. The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 14, but was postponed after Vishwa Hindu Parishad raised objections. Today, June 21, it has been revealed that viewers can stream ‘Maharaj’ on Netflix and has got a clean chit.

Junaid Khan’s ‘Maharaj’ is available for streaming. The Gujarat High Court has lifted the stay order on the film ‘Maharaj’, according to a report by Press Trust of India (PTI). Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat’s period drama can now be watched on Netflix. YRF had given the court the links and passwords of the film to see if it hurts any religious sentiments. Following this, Justice Sangeeta K Vishen, who had stayed the release of the film on June 13, after watching the film, decided to allow streaming platforms to stream the film on Friday, June 21.
Gujarat High Court approved the release
The court said, ‘After watching the film, this court has come to the conclusion that the film ‘Maharaj’ is based on the events due to which the defamation case was filed and its purpose is not to hurt any community nor to hurt anyone’s sentiments.’ Let us tell you that devotees of Lord Krishna and Vallabhacharya have filed a petition on the film ‘Maharaj’. It is written in the petition that this film is based on the 1862 libel Maharaj case which has a bad effect on public order.
