Whenever Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor goes out to promote any of his films, his classic film ‘Jab We Met’ is definitely discussed in front of the media. Recently, during an interview, the film’s director Imtiaz Ali was asked where he would have seen Aditya and Geet today, to which he replied that in the current situation they would have been divorced. After the director’s comment, Shahid Kapoor was also asked about the same thing. But, his answer has not only disappointed the fans of ‘Jab We Met’ but has also created a stir on the internet.

When Shahid Kapoor was asked about ‘Jab We Met’, the actor replied – ‘It would be interesting that Geet and Aditya are fed up with each other and are preparing for divorce. Aditya might have said, ‘She is his favourite, who can tolerate her?’ After this comment, social media users were seen criticizing the actor. Many expressed their displeasure over the actor’s comment.

Shahid also made it clear that he does not want to disappoint the fans. He said, ‘If our director thinks that these two will divorce each other, then who am I to intervene? I am just an actor. After the actor’s comment, people are giving different reactions to his statement. One user commented, ‘If you want to know whether these two will get divorced in today’s time or not, then make a sequel to the film.’ Another comment read – ‘I am very disappointed with him.’ Another user wrote- ‘Don’t defame the happy ending for us. When will Shahid’s Deva release?
Talking about Shahid Kapoor’s work front, he will be seen in the upcoming action thriller Deva in which he is playing the role of a cop. The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, Pravesh Rana and Kubbra Sait. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on January 31, 2025.
