New Delhi: Celina Jaitley is angry and shocked by the horrific incident that happened with a female doctor in Kolkata. She told about some incidents that happened with her in school. The actress shared a picture of her class six on Instagram on Saturday. She wrote in the caption, ‘It is always considered the fault of the victim. In this picture, I was in class six, when boys from a nearby university started waiting for me to come out of school. They used to follow my school rickshaw to and from home every day.
Selina said, ‘After a few days, they started throwing stones at me in the middle of the road to attract my attention. No one present there said anything about this. My teacher made me feel embarrassed for this. My teacher said that this happened to me because I ‘did not wear very loose clothes and did not apply oil and tie two plaits in my hair, this was my mistake.’ Selina said that she blamed herself for this for years. She said, ‘While waiting for the school rickshaw in the morning, a man showed me his private part for the first time. For many years, I blamed myself for this incident and kept repeating the teacher’s words in my mind again and again that it was my mistake.’

Selina said that she was harassed even when she was in class 11. She wrote, ‘I still remember they cut the brake wires of my scooty because I was not responding to those boys from the university. They abused me and called me obscene names and left obscene notes on my scooty.’
When fingers were raised on Celina Jaitley’s character
Selina further said, ‘My male classmates got scared of me and they told our teachers. My class teacher called me and told me- you seem to be a forward type of girl, you ride a scooty and go to classes wearing jeans with short open hair. That’s why boys think that your character is bad.’ I still remember the day when I jumped off my scooty to save myself because my brake wire got cut.’
When the actress’s grandfather was made fun of
Recalling the incident, Celina said, ‘I was badly hurt, but still it was my fault. My scooty was damaged. I was physically and mentally hurt, but I was told that it was my fault. My retired colonel grandfather, who had fought two wars for our country in his old age, started dropping me to school. The actress finally said, ‘I still remember those rude boys who chased me. They made derogatory comments on my retired colonel grandfather, making fun of him.’ Celina Jaitley said that now the time has come for us to stand up and demand our right to safety. It is not our fault!’
