New Delhi. Actor Ashwath Bhatt, who has worked in superhit films like ‘Raazi’, ‘Haider’, ‘Kesari’, ‘Sita Ramam’ and ‘Mission Majnu’, has made a big revelation about Istanbul vacation (Turkey). He told that while going to a famous tourist place in Istanbul, a gang of robbers attacked him and also beat him up. This incident happened with him near the Galata Tower in Istanbul’s Beyoglu district.

Talking to Times of India, Ashwath Bhatt told that he had gone to Istanbul for vacation. However, when he was planning for the vacation, his friends had already warned him about the pickpockets there. However, he took his friends’ words very lightly and went on vacation. He told that this incident happened when he was going towards Galata Tower and some people attacked him.

Further in the conversation, Ashwath Bhatt said, ‘A man came to me and had a chain in his hand. Before I could fully understand what was happening, he started hitting me hard on the back with the chain. After this, some more people came and instead of saving me, they started trying to snatch my bag. Ashwath says that he tried his best and fought with all his might with the attackers. However, then a taxi came and they all fled from there.

Accidents happening for the first time are shocking
Ashwath Bhatt says that he reported the incident of assault and robbery to the local police. But he said that people usually do not report such cases to the police, due to which crime is increasing at tourist places. Ashwath Bhatt said that he has been to many parts of Egypt and Europe and this has never happened to him. This has happened to him for the first time, due to which he is quite shocked.
