That video of Vicky Vidya vs Jigra box office collection
This week 2 most awaited films were released in theaters. Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s ‘Jigra’ and Rajkummar Rao-Trupti Dimri’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, the audience was eagerly waiting for the release of these films which have now hit the theatres. The audience was very curious even before the trailer of these two films was released, but now that the film has been released, something else seems to be playing out at the box office. The makers of both the films had high expectations from the film, but it did not perform as per the expectations at the box office. So let us know who won the box office battle between Jigra and Vicky Vidya’s video.
Jigra box office collection
Alia Bhatt is counted among the most talented actresses of the industry, who has proved her mettle in films ranging from Gangubai Kathiawadi to Raazi. Alia’s ‘Jigra’ was released in theaters on October 11, which is getting mixed response from the audience. Vedang Raina is also in an important role along with Alia in this film. But, it did not perform as per the expectations of the makers at the box office. On the first day, Jigra collected Rs 4 crore 55 lakh at the box office and now on the second day too, there was not much jump in the film’s earnings.
Jigra’s second day’s earnings
Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra collected Rs 5 crore 50 lakh at the box office on the second day of its release. With this, the total earning of the film in 2 days has reached Rs 11 crore 15 lakh. It was believed that this would be Alia’s best solo opener, but in terms of earnings, it is behind even Raazi released in 2019. Meghna Gulzar’s film had collected Rs 18.83 crore in two days, in which Alia was in the lead role.
That video of Vicky Vidya
Along with Jigra, Rajkumar Rao and Trupti Dimri’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ was also released in theatres. After the immense success of ‘Stree 2‘, Rajkumar Rao appeared among the audience with his new film. The makers were hoping that just as Stree 2 worked on the audience, similarly Rajkummar Rao’s magic would work in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala video, but the collection figures of the film are a bit disappointing.
Rajkumar Rao’s movie collection
Vicky Vidya’s Woh video collected Rs 5 crore 25 lakh on the first day, while on the second day the film earned Rs 6 crore 75 lakh. With this, the total earning of the film has reached Rs 12 crore, which is still more than the collection of Alia Bhatt’s Jigra.
