Stampede at the screening of Pushpa 2
Allu Arjun’s most awaited film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has been released in theatres. Before the release of the film, a special screening of Pushpa 2 was held on Wednesday, 4th December, at Sandhya Theatre, RTC Cross Road, Hyderabad. Allu Arjun reached Sandhya Theater to watch the film with Shrivalli i.e. Rashmika Mandanna, where the actor’s fans gathered in large numbers. Such a crowd of fans gathered outside the theater to see Allu Arjun that a scuffle started. People started falling, due to which the police had to resort to lathi charge. During this time a tragic incident happened. One woman was killed and at least two others were injured in the stampede that broke out after Allu Arjun’s arrival at the theatre.

When a huge crowd moved towards the theater gate before the screening, there was chaos, creating a stampede-like situation. Fans eager to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun rushed towards the entrance as soon as the actor arrived. Police deployed to control the crowd resorted to lathicharge to bring the situation under control.
Woman dies in chaos at Pushpa 2 premiere show
Revati, a resident of Dilsukhnagar, had come to watch the premiere show of Pushpa 2 with her husband Bhaskar and their two children Mr. Tej (9) and Sanvika (7). After the mob broke the gate, Revathi and her son Shri Tej fainted amid the commotion. “The 39-year-old victim, Sandhya, fainted at the theater and was brought to Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital for treatment,” police said. However, doctors declared him dead.

Critically injured Mr. Tej has been admitted to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet for better treatment. The condition of the other injured, including a child, is said to be stable and they are undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Revati’s body has been taken from Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
