Hyderabad. A new problem has arisen for Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. Telangana Congress MLC Thenmar Mallanna has filed a complaint against Allu Arjun at Medipally police station. Congress MLC has alleged that Allu Arjun has insulted the police in his film ‘Pushpa 2 The Rise’. According to the Congress MLC, in a scene from the movie Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun is shown urinating in a swimming pool. A police officer lives in that swimming pool at that time. Congress MLC Thenmar Mallanna says that this is insulting and an insult to the dignity of law enforcement officers.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Police is going to interrogate Allu Arjun today. The case pertains to the stampede and death that took place in the cinema hall on the day of the release of the film Pushpa 2. Allu Arjun arrived during the release of Pushpa 2 at a cinema hall in Hyderabad on 4 December 2024. There was a stampede there. In which a 35 year old woman lost her life. The woman’s son was injured in the stampede. Hyderabad Police had recently arrested Allu Arjun in this case, but Telangana High Court had granted him bail. Allu Arjun had promised to give Rs 25 lakh to the woman’s family. Meanwhile, the producers of the film Pushpa 2 have given Rs 50 lakh separately to the woman’s family.
There is a lot of politics going on in this matter. AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi had alleged in the Assembly that even after the stampede, Allu Arjun kept sitting there and watching the film. On this, Allu Arjun had said that this was wrong and he had left after the incident. Whereas, Telangana Police released the video, in which Allu Arjun is seen being taken away from there after a long time. At the same time, BJP and BRS have accused the Congress government of Telangana of harassing Allu Arjun due to political rivalry.
