'Amitabh Bachchan came on Indira Gandhi's recommendation, I was from outside', Shatrughan Sinha compared Karthik to himself

Mumbai. Shatrughan Sinha recently watched Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Chandu Champion’. He was very impressed with Kartik’s performance. In ‘Chandu Champion’, Kartik has played the role of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist Muralikant Petkar. In an interview to Zoom, Shatrughan said, “He is a very hardworking boy! Kartik deserves the success he has received. In ‘Chandu Champion’, he looked very dedicated and passionate. There is a passion in that child.” Shatrughan has also advocated for Kartik to get a National Award.

Shatrughan Sinha said, “Kartik Aryan should get other awards along with the National Award.” Shatrughan compared Kartik’s career to his own. He said, “When I came, I was from outside. Amitabh Bachchan came on the recommendation of Mrs. Indira Gandhi. I had nothing except self-confidence like Kartik has.”

Shatrughan Sinha further said, “I was not a fair-skinned Punjabi like the ruling heroes of that era, like Dharmendra and Jeetendra. Every 10 years the film industry takes an outsider who rules the industry. After Akshay Kumar, there is Kartik Aryan.”

Let us tell you, ‘Chandu Champion’ was directed by Kabir Khan. Apart from Kartik Aaryan, it also stars Vijay Raj, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Sonali Kulkarni and Bhuvan Arora. It was released on June 14. Kartik Aaryan reportedly took 18 months to build his toned body for Chandu Champion. When the film completed a month of its release, Kartik also shared BTS pictures of his intense training session on Instagram.
