Now Annu Kapoor has released a video on social media, in which he says that the cast and crew of Hamare Barah are constantly being threatened. According to the actor, some unknown people are threatening to kill and rape him. Along with this, Annu Kapoor has also demanded police protection. The actor has requested to avoid taking any hasty decision just by watching the teaser of the film.
Don’t take a hasty decision
Amidst the ever-increasing protests against Hamare Barah, Annu Kapoor has released a video message. In this video, the actor is requesting the audience not to make any hasty decisions just by watching the teaser of the film. According to Annu Kapoor, this film is based on social issues. In the video, the actor said- ‘This film only advocates women empowerment and women’s rights. All of you should first watch the film and only then form an opinion or give your decision. Everyone has the freedom to say their opinion, but no one should be abused like this. Do not abuse or threaten to kill. We are not going to be scared of these things.’
Appeal for ‘proper security’
In the video, Annu Kapoor is further demanding proper security from Maharashtra Police and Home Ministry. Annu Kapoor further said, ‘We have made this film to talk about women empowerment. It talks about the ever-increasing population. Our intention is not to hurt the sentiments of any caste, religion or community.’
The name of the film has been changed
Let us tell you that as soon as the controversy started regarding the film on Monday, the makers announced that the title of the film is being changed on the instructions of the censor board. Actually, the title of this film was earlier ‘Hum Do Hamare Barah’, but as soon as the controversy started regarding it, its title was changed to ‘Humare Barah’. This film is going to be released in theaters on 7 June.
