new Delhi. Oscar winner and one of India’s top music directors, A.R. Rahman has tweeted a poster, in which it has been told about the importance of Tamil and the importance of language for Tamils. The tweet is being seen as a strong reaction to Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent statement that Hindi is an alternative to English. Amit Shah had remarked that people from different states should talk to each other in Hindi. And Hindi should be accepted as an alternative to English. This statement has increased tension in many states of the country including Tamil Nadu.
Rahman posted a picture of Tamil Goddess Maa
Rahman tweeted a poster of a woman with the Tamil letter ‘A’ (Lazha) written on it. Interestingly, the letter is unique to the Tamil language. Titled ‘Tamizhangu’, the poster also carries lines from a poem by revolutionary poet Bharathidasan.

Told root to Tamil language
The lines read ‘Inba thamij angle urimai sempairukku ver’, which means Tamil is the main root of our rights. Retweeted the tweet in support.
