Twinkle Khanna, daughter of Bollywood superstar hero Rajesh Khanna, is celebrating her 51st birthday today. Won Filmfare Award from the very first film
Twinkle Khanna started her career in the year 1996 with the film ‘Barsaat’. Bobby Deol was seen in the lead role with Twinkle in this film. This film was a super hit at the box office. As soon as the film became a hit, the way was opened for Twinkle Khanna in the world of Bollywood. Twinkle Khanna was also honored with the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress for this film. Along with this, Twinkle also won many other titles. After this film, Twinkle Khanna has worked with Ajay Devgan in the film ‘Jaan’. During the shooting of International Khiladi in 1998, Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar spent time together and became friends. Later this friendship turned into love. Twinkle has worked in more than 17 films in her career. But as soon as the 2000 film Mela flopped, Twinkle Khanna said goodbye to acting.
Left acting for literature
Twinkle Khanna did about 2 dozen films in her career and stayed away from acting. Twinkle Khanna married Akshay Kumar in 2001. After marriage, Twinkle stopped working in films and took up writing as her profession. Twinkle Khanna has also written 4 books so far. First of all, a book named ‘Mrs. Funny Bones’ was written in 2015. After this, he has written a book named ‘The Legend Lakshmi Prasad’ in 2016, ‘Pajama Ver Forgiving’ in 2018 and ‘Welcome to Paradise’ in 2023.
