Shilpa Shirodkar talked to fellow contestant Gunaratna about the difficult times of her life. Shilpa told that after the death of her parents, she went into depression. At that time her husband did not care about his career.
Shilpa was in severe depression
Shilpa Shirodkar told that she went into depression after the death of her parents in 2008. Her husband gave her full support during difficult times. Shilpa praised him for this. Shilpa said, ‘When my parents passed away in 2008, I went into severe depression. Apresh’s career was going very well but he left everything and we shifted to India. Meaning, if Apresh had said that I will not do it, you should make the sacrifice… then today Apresh would have been in a very different place in the banking world.
Comparison with Madhuri Dixit
Gunaratna, sitting with Shilpa, talked about Shilpa’s career. He said, ‘It takes 35 years for a politician to make his career. This is how we get a great actor every 50 years. I think along with Madhuri Dixit, you were one of the few people who could reach that level, but you suddenly decided to leave the industry.
Audience misses Shilpa
Shilpa said, it is a matter of luck and I do not regret anything. On this Gunaratna said that the audience regrets that they could not see you more on TV.
