Popular singer Kalpana Patwari has always been an advocate of new experiments. A few years ago, Coke Studio had done such a fusion of the folk song ‘Birha’ with modern music that the song became a huge hit.
Today, on 27th October, on her birthday, Kalpana has once again appeared with a new experiment. Blues progression music has been used for the first time in Bhojpuri. The melodious singer Kalpana Patwari has given voice to the famous ghazal writer Manoj Bhavuk’s ghazal ‘Raah Baate Dusht, Magar Baate’. Blues progression music has been used in this song.
Kalpana also features in Dhruv Ghanekar’s album Voyage 2, which is currently under consideration for the Grammy Awards, while Manoj is a renowned emotional Bhojpuri poet. Manoj has been honored by the Indian Language Council along with cinema personality Gulzar and thumri empress Girija Devi for his Bhojpuri ghazal collection. She has also been honored by Filmfare and Femina for Bhojpuri literature.

Ghazal
Sharing the path is difficult, but share it
If you share your wishes, share your path
Hokhe Khaparail Bha Mahal Hokhe
neh bate tabe oo ghar bate
तिंत भा मीत जे मिल हक् mein
enjoy it throughout your life
Pain boils in the fire of the heart
share the effects of a friend’s ambush
Forgot all that, with love
Zindagani Bhail Jahar Baate
Where every moment is the last moment
When will you find out the journey?
The morning became emotional.
