Indian hockey team made it to the Olympic semi-finals

The Indian hockey team made it to the Paris Olympics hockey semi-finals by defeating Great Britain 4-2 in the shootout. The score of both was equal at 1-1 till full time, but PR Sreejesh did wonders in the shootout. Sreejesh, playing his last tournament, rocked the quarter-final match. India has entered the semi-finals of hockey in the Olympics for the second consecutive time. Bollywood stars are also celebrating the victory of the Indian hockey team. From Emraan Hashmi to Taapsee Pannu, stars have shared posts and stories on their social media congratulating the Indian hockey team on August 4.

Anil Kapoor shared a post on X and wrote, ‘An exciting match that ended with Team India’s victory!!! The semi-final is going to be amazing! Congratulations for a good win!!’

Emraan Hashmi also congratulated the Indian hockey team and wrote, ‘Wow congratulations Team India!!’

Neha Dhupia congratulated Team India by sharing a video on Instagram. “#ChakDeIndia #India. Wow in the semi-finals! Congratulations to #Sreejesh #HarmanpreetSingh and the entire Indian Hockey Team @Olympics.”

Taapsee Pannu shared the picture on social media and wrote, ‘The Indian hockey team won.’

Indian hockey team made it to the semi-finals

Both India and Great Britain have performed brilliantly in the first quarter. They will face Germany or Argentina in the semi-finals. In the shootout, captain Harmanpreet Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Upadhyay and Rajkumar Pal scored goals for India while Great Britain’s Connor Williamson missed the target and Philip Roper’s shot was saved by Sreejesh. After the match remained tied at 1-1 till the stipulated time, a penalty shootout took place.
