He told how a South film director, who was of his father’s age, had called him to meet him alone at midnight on the pretext of work. Told the actress, ‘Don’t you understand the meaning of sitting?’ Upasana Singh told that she was called to a hotel in Juhu, Mumbai on the pretext of a meeting, after which you will also appreciate what she did with that director.
When the director called the actress alone to the hotel
In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Upasana said that ‘A big South film director had signed me for a film with Anil Kapoor. Whenever I went to the director’s office, I used to take my mother or sister along. One day, he asked me why I always bring him with me and he called me at 11:30 in the middle of the night and asked me to come to a hotel for a ‘sitting’. I insisted that I would listen to the story the next day as I did not have a car to reach there, but then he asked, “Don’t you understand the meaning of sitting?” Upasana told that after the conversation with the director she could not sleep the whole night.
Upasana’s life changed in closed rooms
The actress further said, ‘Then my Sardarni mind got stuck. His office was in Bandra and I went there the next morning. He had a meeting with three-four people. His secretary asked me to wait outside, but I did not listen. I went inside and continued abusing them in Punjabi for about five minutes, but when I came out of their office, I remembered that I had told many people that I had signed the film with Anil. Is. I couldn’t stop myself from walking on the sidewalk. I didn’t leave my room for 7 days. I kept crying, wondering what I would tell people. But those seven days made me stronger.
