The film is restored in 4K
Filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s film ‘Aranyar Din Raat’ was re -produced in six years under the leadership of American filmmaker Wes Anderson. The project to restore it started in the year 2019. It began when Anderson started a discussion about preserving the film through his post in the Board of The Film Foundation of Martin Scores. Director K Junoon for Satyajit Ray’s work, The Film Foundation’s World Cinema Project, Film Heritage Foundation, Jenus Films and The Criterion Collection gave birth to a collaborative attempt, which was funded by the Golden Globe Foundation.
Cannes Film Festival will run till May 24
