Mumbai For the past several years, there has been a flurry of flops in Bollywood. When even big stars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan could not make their films hit with the help of their stardom, then a film like ‘The Kashmir Files’ made unexpected money. Now another Bollywood film has been badly beaten at the box office. The film Circus, released on the last Friday of the year (23 December 2022), did not get an audience on the very first day. The multistarrer film stars actor Ranveer Singh in the lead while the film is directed by Rohit Shetty. The film earned only ₹6 crore on the first day.

Let us tell you that films directed by Rohit Shetty are known for action and good comedy. Rohit, who is famous for making mass entertainer films, seems to be failing this time. According to Box Office India figures, the film did a business of only 6-6.25 crores on the first day. The film is not getting the expected audience even in states like Maharashtra and Gujarat.
At the same time, Ranveer Singh’s Circus has been termed as audited by film critic Taran Adarsh. He termed Circus movie as outdated in his review on Twitter. He gave the film 2 stars and wrote that the film lacks entertainment and humour. He wrote that the second part has some funny scenes but the spark is not found.

On the other hand, those who accidentally went to watch the film on Twitter are busy beating their heads. As soon as the first show of the circus got over, the audience started posting their reviews on social media. One user found the film so bad that he even demanded a refund of his money.

Along with this, amidst the negative reviews the film is getting, a user expressed his pain by writing on Twitter, “Out of the theater and now I want my money back. Never expected so many boring, out of tolerance, rubbish, useless songs in a Rohit Shetty film. The worst thing about the film is Ranveer Singh’s double role and his voice is very irritating. This user has also given a rating of 1 out of 5 to the movie in the end.

It is worth noting that even the trailer of this film directed by Rohit Shetty did not get the same response from the audience which is usually seen in his films. Actor Ranveer Singh also failed to pull the audience to the theatres. Talking about his previous films, the film ’83’, made on the 1983 Cricket World Cup, could not show much success at the box office. Recently, the film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar Bhi’ proved to be a big flop. Overall, Ranveer Singh has also emerged as a star making a hat-trick of unsuccessful films.
