New Delhi. Controversy has started with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s new film ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. The ruling party of West Bengal, Trinamool Congress, has made serious allegations of film makers of tampering with original facts. At the same time, Bengal’s contribution in the freedom movement has also been properly spoken of not showing it in the film. Due to this, an FIR has been lodged against 7 producers of the film at Vidhannagar South Police Station located in North 24 Parganas district. Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also criticized the film without naming.
Mamta Banerjee recently said that the revolutionaries of Bengal had contributed significantly to the freedom struggle, but some people are trying to show her role inferior. Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh held a press conference on the matter. He said that the image of freedom fighters, Khudiram Bose and Barindra Kumar Ghosh has not been properly introduced in the film ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. He said that Khudiram Bose has been described as Khudiram Singh in the film. Barindra Kumar Ghosh has been presented in the film as Birendra Kumar of Amritsar.
Ghosh alleged that an attempt has been made to insult the freedom fighters of Bengal through the film. This is not a mistake but a conspiracy to reduce the role of Bengal in the country’s freedom struggle movement. He also questioned how the film got the censor board certificate. Not only this, TMC leaders have intervened by the Central Government and demanded early action. The film Kesari Chapter 2 is based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. R. with Akshay Kumar Madhavan is in the lead role in it. Karan Singh Tyagi is the director of the film.
