South superstar Mohanlal apologizes
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal apologized for the troubles and hurting the audience about some scenes of his recently released film ‘L2: Emoran’. Facebook post said that in his four decades of career, he has maintained distance from politics and controversial dialogues and screenplays. Now, considering his mistake, Mohanlal has promised to remove scenes related to Gujarat riots from the film. According to Caiknilk, ‘Empuran’ Worldwide has become the first Malayali film to earn the fastest 100 million.
Mohanlal apologizes amidst Amapuran controversy
The recent release of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran ‘L2: Empuran’ is making a splash at the box office, but the film shown in it got involved in controversies due to the Gujarat riots shown in it. Seeing the controversy growing, Malayalam star Mohanlal has reacted. The actor shared the post on Facebook and wrote, ‘I know some political and social issues shown in the second part Empuran of Lucifer franchise have hurt my fans … As an actor, I am a duty to tell you that no film of mine is to spread any political movement, ideology or hatred towards religious community.’
Politics on the scenes of riots
Mohanlal further wrote, ‘Therefore, I and Empuran team apologize for this problem to our fans. I also understand that it is the responsibility of making a film and working for it. Together we all have decided that disputed issues will be removed from the film. For the last four decades, I have lived and felt my career like one of you. Your love and belief are my strength.
Lucifer’s sequel made a boom
The film ‘L2: Empuran’ also stars Towino Thomas, Indrajit Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh and Suraj Venjarmudu besides Mohanlal and Prithviraj. Released in theaters, the film is making a big bang in Malayalam as well as Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil languages.
