Mumbai, October 22 (IANS)| Amid the ruckus over the interrogation of Ananya Panday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), official sources on Friday indicated that her alleged WhatsApp chat with Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan had “exchanged messages related to drugs”. ‘ There is no evidence.Sources revealed that the WhatsApp communication of two star-kids (children of Bollywood celebrities) being deeply scanned by NCB has not found any evidence or reference to any chats related to marijuana (ganja) or any other drugs.
It is more likely that Ananya is being questioned by the NCB regarding her statement for some different leads gathered in the case, but the officials are refraining from divulging details.The latest revelation comes in the wake of some unconfirmed media reports, which claimed that at least three WhatsApp chats had surfaced between the two star-kids allegedly discussing issues like drugs, etc., which is currently being probed by the NCB. .Apart from the ongoing investigation into the raids conducted during a rave party on a cruise ship on October 2, the NCB has also visited Ananya Pandey’s house and summoned her for questioning.On Thursday, Ananya, along with her father and actor Chunky Pandey, approached the NCB authorities after being summoned by the NCB. He was questioned for more than 2 hours by half a dozen officers of the agency.
The development comes after Special Judge VV Patil of the NDPS Court extended the judicial custody of Aryan Khan and 7 others, who were arrested on October 3, till October 30. Khan’s bail plea will be heard in the Bombay High Court on October 26.Earlier on Thursday, Shah Rukh Khan had met son Aryan at Arthur Road Central Jail, where he spent a few minutes with him and was later visited by an NCB team at his Bandra bungalow.Meanwhile, after apprehending at least 20 people in the cruise ship raid case so far, the NCB has not ruled out making more arrests as the investigation goes on.
