New Delhi: Daljeet Kaur has been in the news for some time due to a dispute with her husband Nikhil Patel. Both are living separately. The actress’s husband lives in Kenya, but at present he is in India. Now news is coming that Daljeet Kaur has filed an FIR against her husband Nikhil Patel. She has accused Nikhil Patel of cruelty and betrayal.
According to a Times Now report, the actress filed a complaint at the Agripada police station in Mumbai on August 2. The FIR has been registered under sections 85 and 316 (2) of the IPC. This means that Daljeet has accused Nikhil of cruelty and criminal breach of trust. Interestingly, when Nikhil Patel arrived in Mumbai on Friday, August 2, he was spotted at the airport with his rumoured girlfriend.
Nikhil Patel had accused Daljeet Kaur of harassment
Daljeet Kaur had earlier also taken legal action against her husband. The actress had approached the Nairobi city court against Nikhil in June and obtained a stay order to prevent Patel from evicting her or their son from their home in Kenya. Notably, Nikhil had also sent a legal notice to the actress and accused her of harassment.
Daljeet and Nikhil Patel got married in March 2023
Daljeet Kaur and Nikhil Patel tied the knot in March 2023, though the two filed for divorce 10 months after their wedding. In May, Nikhil also confirmed their breakup. He told E-Times, ‘In January this year, Daljeet decided to leave Kenya with her son and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realized that our family foundation was not as strong as we had hoped, making it difficult for Daljeet to settle in Kenya. We hosted an Indian marriage ceremony in Mumbai in March 2023, which, although had cultural significance, does not legally prevent it. The ceremony was intended to reassure Daljeet’s family about his move to Kenya. Daljeet shared her wedding photos on Instagram on Nikhil’s birthday on Friday. She accused Nikhil of hurting her.
