The actor should know that his time is up
In the ‘Timeout with Ankit’ podcast, Sunita said, ‘According to me, an actor should know when his time is over. You were the top star of the 90s, but if you still want to live in the world of the 90s, then it is not going to work. David must have told him that like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, he should also do second lead roles. The problem is also the people around you. They keep filling stories in your mind. They say that you are a hero so you should do similar roles, but this does not work. You should stay with the trend.’
This is the reason for the rift
Sunita further said that it is possible that Govinda did not like the idea of playing the second lead because he had done hit films with David in the 90s. It is possible that he thought why should I play the second role after Akshay Kumar. This led to a rift between the two. I do not think that David was wrong and Govinda was also right because he had never played the second lead role before. She told that she has always been a critic of Govinda and whenever there is something wrong, she tells him. Actors do not like this because they are always surrounded by sycophants.
