Sandeep Reddy Wanga while talking about the criticism of his film Animal by IAS Vikas Divyakirti said that he felt as if he had committed a crime. He expressed surprise at the detailed investigation and emphasized that while the success in IAS can be achieved through studies, filmmaking requires unique level creativity and passion.
Sandeep Reddy Wanga broke silence on criticism
In a recent episode of Game Changers Podcast, Sandeep shared his views on the ongoing criticism of animal. He expressed surprise on how people can post hours posting, analyzing the film, while rarely discuss social issues for so long. Referring to Vikas Divyakirti’s criticism, Sandeep said, ‘There is an IAS officer. In a very serious interview, he said, ‘Films like Animal should not be made.’ The way his voice was coming, the way he was speaking, I really felt as if I had committed a crime. She compared it to films like 12th failure that makes positive contribution to society, while she claimed that films like Animal pulls back the society.
Making a film harder than IAS
The filmmaker shared his views on the difficulty of film production compared to passing the IAS exam. He said, ‘I am very honest to say this, if someone unnecessarily attacks, I will get 100% angry. I think he is an IAS officer because he has studied to be. What do I think, go to Delhi, enroll in an institute, dedicate 2-3 years of your life, and you can crack the IAS. There will be a limited number of books – around 1500 – You will study them and you can crack the IAS. I will give you this in writing. But there is no such course or teacher.
