New Delhi. Film director Sanoj Mishra has been granted bail by the Delhi High Court in the rape case. The woman who accused Sanoj Mishra of rape has now overturned from her statement. In the affidavit given in the court, the woman has said that she was in a relationship with Sanoj Mishra and had a physical relationship between the two. The woman also said that she had accused some of Sanoj’s opponents of rape. Sanoj Mishra was arrested by Delhi Police on 31 March.
The High Court Justice Girish Kathpalia ordered Sanoj Mishra to be released on bail on a personal bond of Rs 10,000 on the basis of the woman’s statement. The judge commented that the case reflects the tendency of false allegations of sexual exploitation. Nowadays such false cases have increased a lot in society. The judge spoke of taking action on false cases of sexual harassment. He said that in this way every false complaint causes a deep damage to the image of the accused, there is an atmosphere of mistrust for him in the society.
