In the film, Vicky Kaushal is going to play the role of Shivaji Maharaj’s son Shambhaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal has made special preparations for this character. Talking about radio intoxication, Vicky revealed, ‘Chhawa has been the most physiological challenging role of my career. Weight gaining 25 kg was not easy. For this, I had to take seven months of hard training. Laxman Sir was clear that the film would not start until I could find the right look, mastered horse riding, fencing and action scenes. He told me I refuse to cheat. No VFX, no shortcut. ‘
Vicky further explained that before stepping on the set, he had to grow his hair, beard and had a body like a warrior. The film claims massive war scenes. In which Utekar ensures complete realism. ‘If you see 2000 people in a scene, there were actually 2000 people on the set. We had 2000 junior artists and 500 were the best stuntmen in the country. The film is shot in a raw and serious way.
Akshay Khanna’s strong character will be seen
The film also stars Akshaye Khanna in the role of turctor Aurangzeb. Considering Akshay’s transformation, Vicky said, ‘I was shown pictures of his look and I was stunned. But in full costumes, seeing them in character, was a completely different experience. His aura, his physical language-was a shuddering. He has brought the character alive in such a way that the audience will be really shocked. Rashmika Mandana plays the role of Maharani Yesubai, wife of Sambhaji Maharaj in Chhava. The film will be released in theaters on 14 February. The film promises to be an epic cinematic spectacle with big war scenes and powerful performances from her life.
