Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra is in trouble again. Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty’s property worth Rs 98 crore, including their Juhu flat, has been seized by ED. ED said that under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, immovable and movable properties worth Rs 97.79 crore of Ripu Sudan Kundra alias Raj Kundra have been temporarily seized. The seized assets include Raj Kundra’s equity shares, Juhu flat and Pune bungalow.
ED action on Raj Kundra
ED has shared this information on social media by tweeting. ED has initiated investigation on the basis of multiple FIRs lodged by Maharashtra Police and Delhi Police against M/s Variable Tech Pte Ltd late Amit Bhardwaj, Ajay Bhardwaj, Vivek Bhardwaj, Simpi Bhardwaj, Mahendra Bhardwaj and several MLM agents alleging that They had collected huge amounts of money (Rs 6,600 crore in 2017 alone) in the form of Bitcoin from the gullible public with the false promise of 10 percent returns per month. Raj Kundra was questioned by ED in 2018 regarding money laundering in the Bitcoin scam.
Raj Kundra trapped in Bitcoin case
The money laundering case in which action has been taken against Raj Kundra. That case pertains to defrauding investors of money through the use of Bitcoin. ED investigation revealed that Raj Kundra had received 285 Bitcoins from Amit Bhardwaj, the mastermind and promoter of Gain Bitcoin Ponzi scam, to set up a Bitcoin mining farm in Ukraine. Let us inform you that Raj Kundra was arrested along with 11 other people on July 19, 2021 for allegedly making obscene films.

Apart from Raj Kundra, accused Ajay Bhardwaj and Mahendra Bhardwaj are still absconding. Earlier, ED had seized assets worth Rs 69 crore. Whereas the position complaint has been filed on June 11, 2019 and on February 14, 2024. The Honorable Special PMLA Court has taken cognizance of this. Let us tell you that Raj Kundra made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘UT69’ last year.
