Thiruvananthapuram. 17 scenes of Malayalam films superstar Mohanlal’s film Empuran will be cut. After the controversy over Emoran, the censor board has directed the film’s producer and director to cut the scene. Mohanlal’s film is directed by actor and director Prithviraj Sukumaran. Empuran is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster film ‘Lucifer’. The controversy began only after the release of Emoran. The reason is that Emoran is based on the riots in Gujarat in 2002.

After watching Emoran, many spectators objected to the scenes of the film. Apart from this, the RSS associated Kerala organizations also objected to the scenes shown in Empuran. Senior RSS leader J.K. Nandkumar and A. Jayakumar also expressed displeasure over the scenes shown in Emoran. It is alleged that the Gujarat riots have been incorrectly shown in the film. Also, in Emohan, NIA, IB and ED have also been accused of negatively depicting Director Sukumaran. It is also being alleged about Emopuran that those who passed the film in the regional office of the Censor Board at Thiruvananthapuram also took negligence. The censor board members of the Kerala office in Kerala gave a certificate after watching Emopuran. At the same time, Kerala BJP President Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that it is the job of the Congress to create controversy. The BJP considers the film as the film. Which people can also like and be criticized.

There is also a dispute over Emoran because Villain was named ‘Baba Bajrangi’. The censor board has also raised objections to this and has asked to change the name of the villain of Empuran. The producer of the film has said that he has asked Sukumaran that the censor board should remove the scene from the Employee and release it again. After 17 cuts in the film, it will again be sent to the censor board and after getting the green signal from there, Empuran will have to be released again.
