Rapper arrested with Vedan Ganja
The Kerala Police’s excise team raided Kochi and arrested famous Malayalam film directors Khalid Rahman, Ashraf Hamza and Shalif Mohammad on charges of keeping hybrid hemp. Meanwhile, rapper Vedan’s difficulties have increased as hemp has been recovered from his flat. The drug was being consumed at Kochi White Hill Police Station, the police arrived at around 10 am. Ganja was recovered during the search there. Vedan was inside the apartment when he was further searched. At that time there were nine people in the group. Police on Monday (April 28, 2025), Kerala’s wrapper Vedan, who is also known as Hirandas Murali. He was arrested after recovering about six grams of hemp from his apartment near Kochi.

The personnel of Hill Palace Police Station conducted a raid and seized the ganja after receiving a secret information. Rapper Vedan went to the apartment with his eight friends after a stage program on Sunday night (April 27, 2025). During the police interrogation, Vedan admitted to taking cannabis. He told the police where he got the hemp. The police have also recovered Rs 1.5 lakh from the flat. The police is interrogating wrappers and others for more information in this case. After the completion of the inquiry, a case will be registered on it as per the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
