Ajit Vijayan dies
A bad news has come out from the South Industry. Famous actor of Malayalam films Ajit Vijayan died in Kochi at the age of 57. ‘Oru Indian Pranayakatha’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Bangalore Dez’ and ‘Anju Sundarikal’ (Kullante Bharatya) were known for their best. Ajit played the lead roles in both cinema and television. In his career, he made a distinct identity by doing many TV shows and bang in films. Ajit Vijayan was from a family whose roots were associated with classical arts. He was the grandson of Ustad Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair of Kathakali and veteran Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma of Mohiniyattam. His parents late C.K. Vijayan and Mohiniyattam were Guru Kala Vijayan and late actor Kalashlas Babu was his uncle. He is survived by his wife Dhanya and daughters Gayatri and Gauri. How was Ajit Vijayan’s acting career?
Ajit Vijayan was highly appreciated for the role of Ambiswami in the Anthology film ‘5 Sundarikal’. His character was seen in the ‘Kullante Bharaya’ film ‘Segment’, in which Dulkar Salman was in the lead role. It had the character of Dulkar Salman’s photographer in ‘Rear Window’ who is disabled and lives on wheelchair. ‘Kullante Bharaya’ was directed by Varthani Amal Neerad and the story Unni R. Renadive wrote. Jinu Ben and Reenu Mathews shot and Gopi Sundar prepared music for ‘Kullante Bharata’. Meanwhile, Ajit Vijayan played the role of an astrologer in the Tamil film ‘Bangalore Days’ who has been very much discussed.
