Vikrant Massey revealed this in the ‘Untriggered Podcast’. He also told that on the advice of his mother, he first decided to live in a live-in relationship with Sheetal and then get married. He also told how he benefited from this progressive thinking advice of his mother. Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur were in a relationship for about 7 years before marriage, out of which they were in a live-in relationship for 2 years.
Sheetal and I have been together for a decade: Vikrant
Talking about this, Vikrant Massey said- ‘Sheetal and I have been together for almost a decade. We dated each other for about 8 years before marriage.’ When Vikrant was asked whether dating before marriage is right to check compatibility, the actor replied- ‘It worked for me. Our temperaments suited each other. Our desires were also the same. We were in a relationship for about seven years.’ He also told that his mother had advised him to try living together before making things official, so that it can be understood whether living together is possible or not.

Vikrant says- ‘My mother advised us to live together before marriage. Thankfully, my parents are progressive thinkers. My mother was born and brought up in Mumbai in 1962. She used to listen to bands like ABBA and Boney and wore stilettos. She used to listen to Sidney Sheldon and Jawaharlal Nehru. It was she who advised us to live together and we also benefited from it. Living together helps us see different shades of each other. For me, this is true companionship.’
