Gadar Kissa: A scene of a train full of corpses was being shot, the crowd pelted stones at the crew

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is one of the most successful Bollywood films. Released in the year 2001, this film received a lot of love from the audience. It is said that when this film of Sunny Deol was released, people used to reach the cinema halls in trucks. A large number of people used to stand outside the cinema halls to watch the film. There were many such scenes in Gadar which are still imprinted in the hearts of the audience. Today we are telling you the story of one such scene.

There is a scene in the film Gadar in which a train full of dead bodies arrives at the station. An atmosphere of grief and fear is seen everywhere at the station. When this scene came on screen, people in the cinema halls also had moist eyes. Today we are telling you the story related to this scene.

The scene was shot by borrowing a train from the museum

A steam engine has been shown in the film, but by the time the film was being shot, the steam engines had stopped working. A steam engine was borrowed from a museum in Delhi to shoot the scene. You will be surprised to know that the train scene was not shot on a set but at an actual railway station.

The railway station shown in the film was not a set

This scene was shot at Amritsar station. The entire station was made in such a way that it reminded one of the 40s. The banners and posters at the station were all changed. A large crowd was needed for the scene. The filmmakers did not have that many junior artists. To gather the crowd, the makers announced that anyone who would be in kurta-pyjama would be able to be a part of the scene. After this announcement, people bought kurta-pyjamas overnight and a large crowd gathered on the set.

Police had to resort to lathicharge

According to the information available in the media, when the shoot took place on the first day, things got out of hand. It was not easy to handle such a huge crowd. The result was that the crowd became uncontrollable and even pelted stones at the crew. When the situation started getting out of hand, the police had to resort to lathicharge. However, later the scene was somehow shot.

According to reports, when the scene was shot, everyone present there became emotional. Everyone’s eyes were moist. It is said that an old man was also a part of this scene, who was banging his head while sitting on a chair even after the scene was shot. When the director told him that the scene was over, that man got up from his place. There were tears in his eyes. He told that he had actually seen this scene 50 years ago. He was 10 years old at that time.
