When he was asked, ‘What happens when two friends or two people working together have different political opinions?’ In response he said- ‘I never spoiled personal relations. I have a lot of respect for Naseer Sahab. But, when he spoke negatively about me, I felt it was necessary to answer him. I have read Bhagwat Geeta. In that, when Krishna said to Arjun – This is not your family, you will have to do this. So I also had to tell the truth.
What was the matter?
Actually, during the promotion of her film ‘Chhapaak’ in 2020, Deepika was seen standing with the students protesting in JNU. On this, while Anupam Kher appeared in opposition to Deepika, Naseeruddin Shah was in her favor. While supporting Deepika, Naseeruddin Shah even called Anupam Kher a psychopath and joker. He had said- ‘It is in Anupam’s blood, he should not be taken seriously.’
Anupam Kher had also responded to Naseeruddin’s attack.
Anupam Kher also reacted sharply to this statement of Naseeruddin Shah and called the veteran actor frustrated. He had said- ‘Naseer Saheb, I never took you and your words seriously. Despite achieving so much success, you have spent your entire life in frustration. Let us tell you, Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah have studied from the National School of Drama and both have worked together in some films, including ‘A Wednesday’ released in 2008.
