He has been in the news ever since he filed his nomination for this seat and declared his assets to be only Rs 41 lakh. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) candidate Haroon Khan won the seat with 65,396 votes, defeating Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bharti Lavekar by 1600 votes.
