Hrithik Roshan had almost died in this stunt of 'Krrish', for this reason he deliberately did not take a body double

Hrithik Roshan’s film ‘Krrish’ released in the year 2006 was a blockbuster hit. Made at a cost of approximately Rs 40 crore, this film collected more than Rs 126 crore. This film gave India a new superhero. But do you know that Hrithik Roshan had a narrow escape during the shooting of this film. Hrithik Roshan himself told this anecdote in an interview that how he had a narrow escape while doing a stunt for the film. What happened was that Hrithik Roshan himself had decided to do all the stunts of this film and he also told the reason for this in the interview.

When Hrithik Roshan almost died while shooting for Krish

Hrithik Roshan told that when ‘Krrish’ jumps, his expressions while in the air had to be very real. Hrithik did not want these to be created with the help of VFX or CGI. Hrithik Roshan wanted to keep his character’s expressions real during every stunt and action of the film, and this was the reason why he decided to do every stunt himself. Since it was a superhero movie and there were countless stunts in it, one stunt was when Hrithik had to jump from a 50 feet high clock tower.

As soon as I jumped, I realized that the safety cable was broken

This is a scene a little before the climax of the film when Hrithik Roshan in the character of Krish is chasing a helicopter. The whole setup was ready and Hrithik Roshan had to jump from this tower. Hrithik Roshan told in an interview that when he jumped from the tower and was moving forward giving expressions of floating in the air, then he realized that his safety cable was broken. Hrithik Roshan had very little chance of surviving but coincidentally he saw a canopy in the middle whose size was not very big.

Even if you fell on an iron rod, it would have been difficult to save your life

Keeping his scene in mind, Hrithik Roshan landed on this canopy. Hrithik Roshan’s father also told about this incident. The shooting of the film was going on in Singapore and it was here that the scene was shot in which Hrithik narrowly escaped death. Hrithik’s landing on a 6-foot umbrella outside the shop was so perfect that he also escaped the iron rods attached to it. Regarding this, he said that I think the most appropriate word for this incident is ‘magic’.
