He then decided to shoot this scene in a real wedding. There was a marriage hall at some distance from where the film was being shot. Rajkumar Hirani sent one of his assistants to the marriage hall and asked him to take the stage for 10 minutes. The hall guy agreed. A wedding was going on there at that time. She said that the wedding would be over by 10 o’clock. After this, he will call them then they can come and shoot the scene.
When no call came from the hall
Clothes were ordered on rent for the wedding scene of Sanjay and Gracy. After this, everyone started waiting for the hall to become vacant till 10.30 pm. But no call came from the hall. After this, a call was made to the marriage hall from the film team. It turned out that the real married people were still there. After this, at around 11 o’clock the film team got a call from Hall. He was told that he could come and shoot the scene.

Rajkumar Hirani had told in one of his old interviews that when Sanjay Dutt and Gracy were climbing the stage, the real couple was coming down from the stage.
